As most of you know, my forte has always been creating and teaching
cardmaking, album design, and anything “off the page”,
especially when it involves resin clay, rice papers,
and a touch of Shabby Chic early Victorian elegance.
romantic, layered style has truly become
my signature over the years.
But recently, I felt a little tug on my heart…!
a quiet calling to return to scrapbooking for a while.
Cardmaking and album creating are simply what I do best.
they come naturally to me. Scrapbooking, however,
is a different canvas altogether.
A 12x12 layout is not just a larger card.
it’s a story that needs space to breathe.
And I’ll be honest, it took me a little while to adjust.
For weeks I’ve been hiding away in my craft room,
designing layouts, reminding myself that I wasn’t making a card,
I was building elements across a full page.
We all have our weaknesses and our strengths.
Sometimes we just need to gently push through
the uncomfortable stage to rediscover something beautiful.
And I think I’ve finally overcome that little fear.
So, this marks the beginning of a personal journey back into scrapbooking.
Some layouts I create may simply be for me,
not everything will turn into a kit.
Sometimes creating just for the love of it is exactly what the soul needs.
This particular layout features my handsome first-born grandson,
captured in the park behind our home and the very place were
he has grown up playing on the swings.
Creating this page felt incredibly special,
preserving those everyday moments that mean the most.
For this layout, I’ve used a combination of Craft O’Clock papers,
along with treasured finds collected from here,
there, and everywhere.
I also have something exciting in the works..!
I’m currently experimenting with a newly launched product from our distributor
that allows you to create your own chipboard using your personal dies.
Imagine being able to cut your own chipboard elements and finish
your projects with a unique touch that is truly yours!
The product will be available on my website next week,
and I’ll be announcing its arrival across all my media platforms.
